Request the first fully electric Mazda, the MX-30, at JB CarConcept

The Japanese brand Mazda is known for going its own way. The use of the Wankel engine or current Skyactive engine technology are just a few examples of their philosophy in action. They’re continuing down the same unconventional path with their first all-electric vehicle, the MX-30, which is now available at JB CarConcept. They do things differently with a fascinating interpretation of the brand’s iconic Kodo design, for example. Or with its unusual chassis, with doors opening in opposite directions without the usual B-pillar – like in the BMW i3 or the MX-30’s big brother, the Mazda RX-8.

The electric drivetrain also has special characteristics such as the comparatively compact and lightweight battery, the specially designed accelerator pedal and the e-GVC Plus driving dynamics control.

Other features of the First Edition package that can be booked with us:

  • Length: 4.40 m, Width: 1.85 m, Weight: 1,750 kg
  • e-Skyactiv engine with 107 kW (145 hp) and 271 Nm torque
  • 35.5 kWh battery built according to the rightsizing principle
  • front wheel drive
  • Charging standards Type 2 and CCS
  • Special interior features: floating centre console and the use of particularly environmentally friendly materials such as cork
  • Operating concept with a combination of touchscreen and rotary pushbutton controls

Do emotional perceptions such as agility and driving pleasure depend on battery size and charging times? Or is Mazda's own rightsizing principle with a relatively small, light battery and comparatively short range suitable for everyday use? These could be interesting questions for comparison drives and research projects about consumer perceptions.
