The new BMW iX xDrive 40 – the premium SUV now available at JB CarConcept

BMW iX – the second electric SUV to come from the premium brand from Munich is at the same time the first SUV specifically developed for an electric drive. The iX thus also takes over the role as the new electric and technology flagship of the Bayerische Motorenwerke. And at least at the moment it has a real unique selling point - not only in comparison with its immediate rivals such as the Tesla Model X and Audi e-tron 55 Quattro. The BMW iX is the first and so far only electric vehicle which is allowed to tow a trailer up to 2.5 t.

Further technical highlights are the electrically excited synchronous motors, the four-wheel steering, the variable and adaptive regenerative braking, and the concept which BMW calls "Shy Tech". This is used for technical solutions which fulfil their functions practically invisibly. Such as, for example, the cleaning device for the rear view camera. Or the hood which cannot be opened anymore and therefore conceals the technology lying under it. The user's opinion on this still has to be determined in corresponding surveys.

Neither is there a lack of comfort on the luxury level: abundant space, with a lounge character on the rear bench seat; doors which open and close electrically, 5G mobile connection, excellent voice control are only a few examples.
