BMW XM – V8 Plug-In Hybrid now available with us

The XM is only the second in-house development of M-GmbH following the M1 with polarizing looks, dimensions just below the BMW X7 and an extremely unmistakable appearance.

In contrast to the mid-engine sports car M1, the XM presents itself as a super sports SUV and lays claim to extraordinary driving dynamics. With a wheelbase of 3.11 meters and an unladen weight of over 2.7 tons, it makes it sound as if the laws of physics were meant to be defied in the XM. High performance and electrification

Before we take a closer look at the XM's driving dynamics, it's worth investigating the drive technology. The V8 gasoline engine with 4.4 l displacement, 4 valves per cylinder and twin-turbo support serves as the basis. The V8 is supported by a 145-kW electric motor with a synchronous drive with external excitation. An 8-speed automatic transmission ensures that power is distributed among the four driven wheels as required. The rear axle also steers.

As the dimensions of the XM already imply, the interior is luxuriously spacious. This is complemented by outstanding comfort, a low seating position that is definitely beneficial for sounding out the driving dynamics, an exquisitely outfitted interior with an indirectly illuminated headliner, plus two curved displays for controlling the entire armada of driving aids.
