Hyper SUV with racing car DNA: What do you get when you cross an SUV with a sports car? Well, that's the challenge Lotus has set itself with the new Eletre. The result: almost gigantic dimensions, eye-catching, aggressive design with a drag coefficient of 0.26, quite remarkable for an SUV. Whilst it may not be a true sports car, as one would expect from the once traditional English brand, it has extremely agile handling. Well-equipped for comparison tests with competitors such as the BMW iX M60, AMG EQE 53 SUV, Tesla Model X or Lamborghini Urus.

Driving dynamics and luxury-class comfort

Precisely coordinated, easy-action steering with reliable feedback: the high unladen weight of the vehicle - significantly more than 2,600 kg in the R version - exerts hardly any influence. The rear axle supports the driver with a steering angle of up to 3.5⁰. The chassis is equipped with double-chamber air suspension along with a total of 6 driving modes. This means that the Lotus Eletre R boasts an opulent and very comfortable set-up for both on-road and off-road driving. That should provide a suitable solution for every individual driving style. The question of whether the Lotus really convinces with its high-tech chassis should be an exciting one for your events.

800-volt technology for ultra-fast charging

The power generated by the two electric motors, the high weight and the spectacular driving performance for an electric vehicle mean that long ranges are not possible, even with a battery of over 100 kWh. The Eletre R counteracts this with its 800-volt architecture - already familiar from the Porsche Taycan - and ultra-fast charging. A charging capacity of over 350 kW is possible at corresponding Super Chargers.
