Tesla facelift: Book Model Y Uniper for tests now

We already had three versions of the Tesla Model Y available for your comparison drives, tests and CarClinics. After the latest facelift, number 4 now follows: the new Tesla Model Y Juniper in the “Launch Series” version. With a significantly modified body, which is dominated at the front by the continuous light strip and at the rear by the more robust, higher bumper. With a lower Cd value of 0.22, slightly larger dimensions and less noise in the interior.

Many changes to details provide added convenience

Eight (previously seven) cameras are now used for the safety systems and for monitoring the surroundings. One of them in the front area even has its own washing system. Unlike the current Tesla Model 3, there is once again a separate blinker lever.

Many new details ensure what we perceive as increased interior comfort: acoustic glass all round and ventilated seats, soft-touch seat covers and suede trim on the dashboard. The suspension tuning, which remains firm, is less noticeable than before. And what else? Doors that open automatically on approach, hands-free trunk release, the new 8-inch touchscreen for people in the rear seat and a further refined sound distribution of the audio system with 16 instead of the previous 14 loudspeakers.

The competition is diverse with VW ID.4 and ID.5 in the GTX Power versions, Audi Q4 50 e-tron, BMW iX3, Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Skoda Enyaq. Added to this is the Model Y still offered by Tesla before the facelift. This makes your comparison drives, tests and events all the more insightful.
