Tesla Model 3 Highland – more range for your tests

The electric pioneer featuring a host of new details: The Model 3 from Tesla really is no longer an unknown quantity on German roads. Electric vehicles were still considered very much exotic when we first reported on the Model 3. Now, almost six years later, Tesla has launched an extensive facelift for what is currently its most affordable model on the market: the Model 3 Highland. The American manufacturer is lauding the new details under the motto “Get in and enjoy”: aerodynamically optimized styling, including the rims, less driving noise, a redesigned interior with higher-quality materials and acoustic glazing all round.

Economical power consumption and outstanding noise insulation

The range, which has been significantly increased, is given particular emphasis. Changes in the battery technology, a drag coefficient of less than 0.22 and resistance-optimized wheels with aero rims are designed to make this possible. Driving comfort also benefits from these changes. The Model 3 Highland is equipped with more efficient noise insulation than before. Tesla claims a reduction in ambient and wind noise of 30%. Yet the question remains: how is this going to feel in real-life use and in comparison with other electric vehicles?
